A caring reflection
of our community

Like our home city of Los Angeles, Good Samaritan Hospital is known for its energy, creativity and diversity.

Good Sam. Great Choice!

When you join the staff at Good Samaritan Hospital, you’re instantly regarded as a top professional in your field. The quality of our people and professional relationships has gained us a national reputation for excellence based on a hospital-wide commitment to outstanding patient care. Good Samaritan Hospital offers prestige, satisfaction, enrichment—and fun. Hospital staff are regularly treated to special events, including ice cream socials, holiday dinners and staff appreciation ceremonies all held on-campus in what has been described as a small city in itself. The description is an apt one, with Good Samaritan housing an on-site childcare center, credit union and fitness center. Staff members can even take advantage of laundry services, oil changes and movie rentals without leaving the campus.

Groundbreaking Work

Good Samaritan Hospital is embarking on an exciting expansion project centered around a 190,000-square-foot outpatient services building. Scheduled to open in 2013, the new structure will include a state-of-the-art women’s health/imaging center, pharmacy, cancer treatment services, outpatient surgical facility, and five levels of physicians’ offices. This is in addition to existing facility enhancements, including two new cardiac catheterization labs, a new electrophysiology lab, and a new outpatient imaging center.

Growing with Los Angeles Since 1885

Keeping pace with one of the world’s most progressive cities requires commitment to innovation and the ability to adapt as we work to meet L.A.’s changing health care needs.  Good Samaritan Hospital’s history and future revolve around world-class research, leading edge diagnostic and treatment technologies, and extraordinary medical professionals.

Good Samaritan attracts referrals from around the world as our reputation for delivering superior outcomes on even the most challenging cases continues to grow. We offer an Acute Myocardial Intervention Program which provides care for patients in transport by land or by air from as far away as 150 miles. Our Heart Institute is on the forefront of cardiac surgery, offering minimally invasive and transfusion-free techniques. Good Samaritan was one of the first hospitals to use Gamma Knife technology, and our Institute for Reproductive Research was highly instrumental in the birth of California’s first test tube baby and the world’s first birth from a frozen embryo.
